The OCC school of Sailing & Seamanship offers classes for students ages 14 and up. Young sailors 7 to 14 years of age may enroll only in classes specifically for junior sailors. All students enrolled in on-the-water courses must have basic swimming skills. Parents of participating minors must sign a parental release form. Forms are available online or from the office.
It has never been easier to register for your sailing class. Click here to access our online course schedule with class, date and fee information for current and future classes. You will be able to sign-in and register for most classes.
- For classes with a prerequisite you will see a navy blue box - this means you have to call the office to register.
- If a class is full, or taking place in the next 24 hours a light blue box will appear. You will be able to add yourself to the waiting list, or call our office so we can help you with your registration.
- You will see a red box if you are already registered for a class.
If you have any questions, or would like assistance with your registration please call our office at 949.645-9412. We look forward to sailing with you.
Classes will begin on time. Please allow ample time for driving and parking. If you miss a class, you cannot make it up by attending another class. If you miss a class, just attend the next class session.
Classes are held regardless of weather. Rain or dangerous conditions will result in classes being moved indoors for lectures and demonstrations.
We understand that situations may arise that might make it necessary for you to cancel or transfer your class. Please realize that the later you cancel your class, the less likely we are to fill the vacancy you have created. In the event of The School canceling a class, the fee will be fully refunded.
You must notify us directly if you need to cancel or transfer a class by calling The School at 949-645-9412. The amount of your refund is determined by the date you notify us of your cancellation or transfer. Any additional course fees will be due at the time of transfer.
