- Courses are offered for credit through Orange Coast College.
- Courses are conducted both on the OCC campus and at the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship.

- Apply for admission to OCC. This can be done anytime at www.orangecoastcollege.edu or at the Admissions Office in Watson Hall on the OCC campus. If you are a continuing student, there is no need to re-apply. If you are a returning student, you can re-apply with the same account.
- Apply for financial aid (optional).
- Your MyOCC account will be set up after enrollment and you will be assigned an on-line registration appointment time.
- Register for individual courses on MyOCC. Registration appointments begin in June for Fall semester. Registration appointments begin in mid-November for Spring semester.

Marine Activities MARA A152 Boat Handling Basic Skills
Marine Activities MARA A156 Maritime Environment
Marine Activities MARA A157 Radar Observer
Three Professional Mariner courses are offered in the Spring semester, Jan. 30 - May 27, 2012:
Marine Activities MARA A153 Marine Basic Safety Training
Marine Activities MARA A154 Yachtkeeping and Engine Maintenance
Marine Activities MARA A155 Navigation for Deckhands
The courses may be taken in any order.
