For Boys and Girls in Grades 2 through 8

We invite new and returning students 7 to 12 years old to join us on the water for after school sailing.

Sailors of all levels wil be able to advance their sailing skills and gain confidence on the water as they focus on team work, rigging the boat, sailing upwind, boat handling and sail trim.  Each sailor must bring a welll fitting life jacket, warm layered clothing, a change of clothes (just in case!), a towel, hat and a snack each day.

Dinghy sailing requires agility, skill, teamwork, and concentration and through games, races and exercises we will enhance specific skills including individual and team working skills.

Program Format:

7 class sessions
Wednesdays, 3:30-6:00 pm

Spring 08   Wed, April 16 - May 28
Fall 08    Wed, Sept 10 - Oct 22

Prerequisite:

Open to students currently attending 2nd through 8th grade.  Ability to swim 50 yards.  Students must provide their own life jacket.
