Anchoring at Catalina: No Moorings? No Problem!”
Answering that persistent question about how to enjoy Catalina even if there are no moorings available.
Have you ever wondered if you should make the crossing to Catalina because moorings might not be available? Worse, have you ever arrived to find no moorings available and wondered where and how you should anchor, or whether to head back home? The purpose of this seminar is to help you solve that problem. Marc will discuss the options at 22 different anchorages at Catalina and techniques for using a single bow anchor, and where, when and how to use bow and stern anchors. You should not have to let the availability of moorings limit your cruising plans and Marc will show you how and where to enjoy Catalina at anchor. If you just want to learn more about the coves you have not yet anchored in, or how to handle anchoring in deep water at the Isthmus, you will get your questions answered here.
