This four-hour course is designed to enable professional mariners to earn their marine Radio Operator’s permit. All mariners who operate Single Sideband AM or VHF-AM radios on vessels carrying more than six passengers for hire, and those on vessels of 300 GT or more, are required to hold this permit. Frequency selection, legal requirements, and equipment capabilities will be covered through lecture and discussion.
