This engaging class covers global circulation patterns and the dynamic
features that govern marine weather. A close look at northern hemisphere wave cyclones (winter storms), their frontal features, and interpretation of observed weather is central to this course. Special emphasis is placed upon developing regional weather knowledge with short case studies of popular cruising grounds. These goals are accomplished while using the tools of the meterologist's trade including weather charts and satellite images.
